'Free' Hot Water From The Sun

How it works 

Solar water heating systems harness the suns solar energy and effectively convert this through the solar panels into hot water which can then be stored in a cylinder ready to be used when ever required. A well designed solar system can provide almost all of a home’s typical hot water demand in the summer months and up to 60% of the home’s annual demand. During winter months the solar will have to be topped up with a secondary heat source such as ground source heat pumps, wood burning boiler stove, gas, electric or oil boiler etc.
